We had the chance to help Go Button Productions bring IGN’s Gamescom live feed to life during these Covid times. Because of flight restrictions to Europe enacted to help slow the spread of the virus, IGN was up against a wall to produce a live show for Gamescom from the states. They reached out to us to design, plan and install in a little under two weeks. The result was creating 4 spaced out sets that could be run from a centralized control location to help with distancing protocols, along with running everything with minimal crew. This was to be done utilizing existing space in the LA IGN offices, which was available because they had to take their operations remote to be in compliance with Covid19 protocols. We installed 4 sets spread out in the four corners of the building a, Main interview set, a lets play set and two standing sets, which allowed IGN to produce multiple shows for the week from one location. It was a resounding success and we were very happy with the results! Check out some shots from the shoot below…

IGN wanted to have onset host be able to talk to a live feed of guest from remote locations projected to the wall to allow for a more normal interview feel to the show despite not being in the same room.

Mini Me set up

To help have a fun interview with remote host to host chats the mini me rig was developed to help give a fun dynamic to the show despite not being able to be in the same place.
