Envy Games Studio

In early 2020 we had the chance to work with Go Button Production on creating a turn key lighting solution for the new Envy Games Studio. This was a studio to be installed in an existing boardroom in the New Envy offices in Dallas Texas. Go button needed a desk set with multiple video, and textured surface back grounds and a grid height of 8 feet to have a larger than life feel despite the actual size. No problem, with the help of the Dracast 500 plus panel light which is a low profile DMX controllable bi-color panel light and the addition of the ETC colorsource cyc light we achieved revelation of form and allowed for depth of field despite being really close to the black ground. Along with achieving a great look we programed a easy to use touch interface using the ETC Nomad and a Microsoft Surface to allow the on site technician to bring up prerecorded looks which could also be adjusted for what there day to day needs would be to the space. Everything running perfectly with integration of all talent and scenic light sources, which could be easily programmed using our simplified show controls tailored to their needs. IGN Gamescom Live

We had the chance to help Go Button Productions bring IGN’s Gamescom live feed to life during these Covid times. Because of flight restrictions to Europe enacted to help slow the spread of the virus, IGN was up against a wall to produce a live show for Gamescom from the states. They reached out to us to design, plan and install in a little under two weeks. The result was creating 4 spaced out sets that could be run from a centralized control location to help with distancing protocols, along with running everything with minimal crew. This was to be done utilizing existing space in the LA IGN offices, which was available because they had to take their operations remote to be in compliance with Covid19 protocols. We installed 4 sets spread out in the four corners of the building a, Main interview set, a lets play set and two standing sets, which allowed IGN to produce multiple shows for the week from one location. It was a resounding success and we were very happy with the results! Check out some shots from the shoot below…

Orange Lutheran Dream Gala!

This last winter we had the great pleasure of designing the Orange Lutheran High School Gala for the Arts.  This year the special guest was Jody McBrayer, and it was a really great show, the school of the arts really nailed their 5 song opening set and then Jody followed that up with a show stopping performance. Our design this year consisted of, an upstage light wall with a mixture of Aryton Magic Blade LED Moving Heads and Elation 4x4 Blinders, which helped us to really create some exceptional looks using the distinct beam architecture of the Magic Blade.  We also had the chance to try out the new Robe BMFL Blade, twelve in the rig, it was a great light to work with lots of great gobo selections and a really great color mixing engine.  As the pictures show this was a really dynamic show, we hope to continue to provide stellar work for Orange Lutheran for years to come.
